Chézlagos [ˈtʃɛz.ɫə.gɔs], the capital of Kharul. This is literally “new capital” (ches “new” + lagos “capital”, from Old Kharulian lugòs “chair, throne”). It’s “new” because in -880 it replaced the old capital, Vurili (literally “of horses”). Vurili was near the Lagendeda river delta, but as the kingdom of Kharul expanded, the government wanted a more central location and relocated further upriver.
